Finally Another Post

We are finally getting a settled in here. We have made friends with most of the other teachers who work with us and going out with them after work has pretty much made up our entire social life. We all went out last weekend after work in this night life area about 3 blocks from where we live below is a picture.

Teaching has been pretty good for both of us. Our classes have between 3 and 12 students in them and for the most part are pretty easy. We teach a lot of upper level classes to 15 and 16 year olds which are the easiest because they all speak English well. We pretty much just critique their grammar and pronunciation. We also teach a couple of elementary school classes which are fun because the kids are still excited about English. The hardest classes are the older lower level classes. The students don't speak English to well so at times it is hard to communicate and on top of that they are middle school students who act like middle school students. At times it is challenging to control 10 thirteen year olds who don't really understand what your saying. But all in all they are well behaved (much better than American teenagers) and teaching is going smoothly. We have gotten a routine down now for work days. We wake up go running by the river a block from our place eat lunch and go to work. Below is a couple pictures of the river.

We have gone to a couple movies since we have been here and the theatre is really nice. It is in a huge 10 story Department store called Shinsegae. Below is a picture.

This last Sunday we went to this huge underground mall in Seoul called Coex. It was like an underground city, it even had an aquarium. We went there to go to this huge book store called Bindi and Luni's which we were able to buy some English books. Coex might have been the most crowed place I have ever been. Below is a picture of the entrance that doesn't do the crowds justice.

We will post again soon with pictures of our students.
